Why is it that the first night back at work is the hardest to sleep through? For the whole of the Christmas break, I had wonderful nights of the deepest sleep. Yet come Sunday night / Monday morning, I find it totally impossible to even grab five minutes snooze. Gah ( Read more... )

Just finished Barnaby Rudge by Charles Dickens. The first half of the book is probably the dreariest 300 pages of Dickens I've ever read. According to the introduction, he was spreading out his versatility, trying out new writing styles at the time. We went to Strada in London on Tuesday. It was a Facebook organised event, arranged largely by Tim but communicated by the power of Facebook. And my what a turnout!
